My favourite song. But the lyrics in this video are false in several lines.
the lyrics are wrong
Food for shrink
Ultraviolence hits hard
You've written the lyrics wrong
these lyrics are kinda fucked up but its like also a masterpiece
"Jim taught me that loving him was never enough" felt this
between 2:38 and 3:13 this song fucking kills me i love it
I've heard that alot of people have ragged on lana for supposedly "romaticizing" domestic violence, especially with this album. I'm wondering if alot of the people who are criticizing her/this album in that way haven't experienced domestic violence first hand, and/or been in an abusive relationship of any kind. It's hard to come to terms with how powerful of a hold that type of relationship can have on you, especially when there's a trauma bond aspect in play. As a person who has gone through some seriously rough relationships, I don't see it as her glorifying it, I see her lyrics acknowledging how powerful trauma bonds can be, to the point that you feel any attention from your toxic partner is perceived as validation/affection. "He hit me but it felt like a kiss." "He hurt me but it felt like true love" These lines hit me so hard because it can truly feel that way, your perception of what healthy attention/affection means can become so skewed if you're in an abusive relationship. I think she was able to highlight so eloquently the way that those scenarios can feel, when you're so desperate for attention from your long term partner that any interaction, even physical abuse, is somehow a form of validation. It's terribly sad and I really feel that I can see what lana was trying to convey by making this specific song and also alluding to unhealthy attachments and codependency in other tracks throughout her discography. She's honestly a brilliant writer and story teller through her music and it's very disheartening that alot of people are unable to tap into and understand her deeper intentions and displays of emotional turmoil through her lyrics.
This is exactly what i mean.
I couldn't have explained it any better than this 💜
Some of the lyrics are wrong
THE LYRIC IS WRONG IN SO MANY LINES
kieroooo llorar ptmmmm
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You are missing a few lines of the lyrics: "we can go back to Woodstock where they don't know who we are".
Bitch you disgust me you let them say they caught him !
This song is hypnotic...and that makes me sad...as a former non-violence counselor, I have seen enough REAL violence...enough to not romanticize it.
and she says ultra violence so softly
N are fulgrr mqcuen numi plc
WE LOVE ENGLISH
At 2.39 , This part always makes me feel like I've taken a really nice drug . That's the effect of Lana's music...She is unique.
1:54
“He hit me and it felt like a kiss.” Relatable
Is this song about toxic and abusive relationships....idk
Deadly nightshade or black dahlia
I'm studying English and the lyrics of this song are really dark, I never would have thought that this song would means this... It's a history about how thinks and feels a person who is in a toxic relationship. I just love it! Thank you Lana
The translation is not good at all.
We’ll take it with a grain of salt… because a lot of these lyrics are WRONG. Like, _a lot_
With his ultraviolence* Not this is ultraviolence
Is just me who this song is about domestic violence
This album is her high water mark with no less than 8 brilliant songs from 'Brooklyn Baby' to 'Pretty When You Cry'!
These lyrics are all wrong😂😂
These lyrics are so wrong 😑
My girlfriend told me about this song but i dont abuse her
2:39 "We can go back to New York" The year is 2021 and Communists have turned the place into a criminal shithole. You might wanna think about that😂
I dunno if these so-called communist-made criminal shitholes are real, but they're kinda my thing and they're still better than a republican suburb of church-goers.
I Dont think his name was Jim Lana..jus maybe I see how this song was INSPIRED..LMAO
Who the fuck is this Jim
When she says "he hurt me but if felt like true love " I could relate since I'm in a one sided relationship where he lies and not psychically but verbally mistreats me and I go back each time
This song is dark gold
bdsm entered the chat
This song .... hit different....
This lyric video sucks. First of all, the lyrics aren’t right at all and it’s not on time with the words on the screen (and how this video has 2.7 million views is BEYOND ME)😒😒
